Twisters Invitational 2019 Results

Surrey Gymnastic Society‘s gymnasts continued their excellent performance at the Twisters Invitational – Abbotsford – last weekend.

In the JO4 category – 9 year old Isabeau Isaacson won All Around bronze, placing 1st on Floor and 3rd  on Uneven Bars.

In same category, but in other age group Sofia Villamil finished 1st All Around and she captured 2 gold medals on Uneven Bars, Beam and silver on Floor.

Her teammates,  Adriana Garbe won the All Around silver medal and finished 2nd places on Beam and 3rd on Floor. Sanne-Lise Garbe placed 4th on All Around,  1st on Floor and 2nd on Uneven Bars.

Emilyna Keo was the most efficient gymnast, she made the highest score in JO4 category again. Emilyna finished 1st All Around and she’s got four more gold medals!!! – on Vault, Uneven Bars, Beam, Floor.

In the same category, Layla Omar-Ali finished 8th All Around, 4th on Beam, 7th on Floor.  Kiana Carter finished 13th All Around, 7th on Beam, and 9th on Uneven Bars.

Next up for the SGS girls – JO 2 and JO 4 categories – will be the 2019 BC WAG JO Compulsory Championships held at the Langley Events Centre on April 6. Good luck girls!

JO6 – In the JO6 category – 12 year old Melissa Piliotis finished 5th place All Around, 5th on Uneven Bars, Beam and on Floor.

JO7 – In the JO7 category, Erin Harvey won gold medal on Vault, 2nd on Uneven Bars and 3rd All Around.

In the same category, but younger age group – 10 year old Hannah Mahon placed 7th All Around, she won on Vault.

JO8 – In the Junior Olympic level 8 category – 13 year old, Alice Bashko won gold medal on Beam.

Young boys competed very well in Level 1 category. The youngest gymnast, Malakai Ostrosser (8 years old) won the All Around silver medal, finished 1st on Parallel Bars and 2nd on Pommel Horse, Vault, High Bar.

In the same group, Colton Bellec made 3rd places on Rings and Parallel Bars. He finished 3rd  place All Around.

11-year old Yeshen Mootoosamy placed 2nd in the All Around competition in Provincial 2 category. He captured the silver medals on Pommel Horse, Rings, High Bar and finished 3rd on Vault.

Teammate, same age Paul Bashko placed 1st  in the All Around and  finished 1st place on Floor, Rings, Vault and 2nd on Parallel Bars in Provincial 2 category.

15 year old Luke Van Harmelen finished 4th  All Around in Provincial 5 category. He won gold on Vault and High Bar, silver on Rings, 4th  on Floor and on Parallel Bars.

National Open Category:

Treyson Cerrato did an amazing gymnastics again. He won gold All Around! En route to the victory he won gold on Vault, Parallel Bars, High Bar and placed 4th on Floor,  Pommel Horse, Rings!
