Surrey Boys’ Results

This was the 29th Annual Surrey Classic Men’s Invitational hosted by SGS and title sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Surrey.

Provincial 5 – 14-year-old Treyson Cerrato (South Surrey resident) won the Gold All Around medal.  He matched that medal with gold performances on Vault and High Bar.  Cerrato IMG_20160305_172602_1took the silver medal on Floor and Pommel Horse, bronze on Parallel Bars and 4th on Rings.

Elite 4 – Emanuel Gutierrez Sandoval (12-year-old Surrey resident) won the All Around Bronze medal in this tightly contested category.  En route to his AA ranking, Gutierrez won gold on Vault, silver on Floor and Rings, bronze on Pommel Horse, placed 4th on High Bar and 6th on Parallel Bars.

Elite 3 – Carter Baker (11-year-old Langley resident) placed 5th All Around medal.  Baker placed 3rd on High Bar, 4th on Floor, 5th on Parallel Bars and 6th on Pommel Horse and Vault.

Provincial 3 Under 13 year olds – 11-year-old, Brady Reeleder won the All Around Gold medal with a great showing in this big category.  Reeleder also won gold on Pommel Horse and Parallel Bars, silver on Vault, bronze on Rings and High Bar and laced 6th on Floor.  Team mate and 11-year-old, Luke Van IMG_20160306_161115Harmelen (Langley resident) took the Silver All Around medal and won gold on Floor and Rings and silver on Parallel Bars and High Bar and 6th on Vault.  Another team mate, 13-year-old Timofey Azhogin (Surrey resident) placed 4th All Around, 2nd on Floor and Rings, 3rd on Vault, 5th on Parallel Bars and 6th on Pommel Horse.

Provincial 2 10 years & under – 11-year-old Reggie Quintana (South Surrey resident) took home the All Around Bronze medal, in the biggest category of the day.  En route, Quintana captured the bronze medal on Floor and Rings, placed 4th on High Bar and 6th on Pommel Horse and Parallel Bars.  Vault, silver on High Bar, bronze on Pommel Horse and Rings, 4th on Floor and 5th on Parallel Bars.

 

Surrey Girls’ Results

IMG_20160304_161357This was the 31st Annual Carol Lenz Memorial Invitational hosted by SGS and title sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Surrey.

(Girl gymnasts all compete under the Junior Olympic Program, shortened to JO.)

JO8 –2002 and older – 13-year-old Alexa Cannon (South Surrey resident) won bronze on Floor, placed 4th on Vault and 5th on Beam.

JO7 – 2002 and older – RayAnne Quinn (18-year-old, Langley resident) placed 4th All Around, won silver on Beam and placed 6th on Floor.  In the same category, 14-year-old Eva Woodward (North Delta resident) placed 7th All Around, winning silver on Bars.

JO6 – 2004 –  12-year-old Uliana Grichkovskaia won the All Around Bronze medal, won gold on Bars and Beam and placed 6th on Floor.  In the same category, team mate, 12-year old MacKenzie Long won the bronze on Floor and 4th on Bars.

JO6 – 2005 – 11-year-old Alice Bashko (North Delta resident) placed 6th All Around, silver on Beam and 4th on Bars.  In the same category, 11-year old Anna Polunocheva placed 7th All Around, tying Bashko for silver on Beam and winning bronze on Bars.

JO5 – 2007-2008 – 8-year-old Viktoria Duchesne (South Surrey resident) won the Silver All Around medal.  To go with the AA medal Duchesne added gold on Bars, silver on Beam and Floor and 4th on Vault.

JO3 – 2005 & older – 11-year old Chloe Dickson won the All Around Silver medal. Dickson won gold on Vault and Beam and bronze on Bars.

JO3 – 2006 –  10-year-old Maya Wilson (Surrey resident) won the Gold All Around medal.  Wilson also won gold on Vault and Bars, silver on Floor and bronze on Beam.  Team mate, 10-year-old Talya Jalbert (Surrey resident) won the Silver All Around medal, with gold on Floor, silver on Bars and 5th on both Vault and Beam.  In the same category, 10-year old Melissa Piliotis placed 5th on Bars and 6th on Floor.

JO3 – 2008-2009 – 8-year-old Hannah Mahon (Surrey resident) won the Bronze All Around medal, won silver on Vault and Bars and placed 6th on Beam and Floor.

JO2 – 2006 & older – 10-year old Maren Paterson took home the Gold All Around, gold on Bars and silver on both Beam and Floor.  Team mate, 11-year-old Mara Tweed won Bronze All Around, gold on Vault, bronze on Floor, 4th on Beam and 5th on Bars.

JO2 – 2007 – 9-year old Jasmin Kong placed 4th on Floor and 6th on Vault.

JO2 – 2008-2009 – 8-year old Madelyn Cavasin won the All Around Gold medal to go with gold medals on Bars, Beam and Floor.

JO1 – 2007 & older – 10-year old Layla Omar Ali won the All Around Gold medal with three silver medals on Vault, Beam and Floor and bronze on Bars.  Team mate, 9-year old Maryam Chaudhry won the Silver All Around medal, gold on Vault and Floor, bronze on Beam and 5th on Bars.
